What do you want in web hosting?

When you go out to buy web hosting what do you look for? more specifically what do you want or would you want that you can't seem to find around?
I use to want a nice control panel which allowed me to administrate my site easily without jumping through many hoops... I decided to start my own web host and now I use cPanel which basically is all I want in that area.

So I am pretty satisfied... but just curious, what is something you really think web hosts should offer but many do not seem to?

I look for uptime, support and how much their servers are.

Yes support is a big thing when buying any service... unfortunately few have good support.

Actually my question was more "what do you wish web hosts offered?" instead of the other as I suppose most people will respond like you...

well it is easy to give support when you are a small hoster, as you grow, it begins to be very difficult to keep the standards high. that s why startup are often cool and then s..ks when they are grown up

But for sure, support , cost and uptime. One thing I d like to have in support is help, I mean real help, I am renting a dedicated server for 90$ a month (dual core whatever etc...) I ve asked them for help to install ffmpeg..They sent me the hell...I don't need support , I need good support

That sucks! I don't personally offer ded servers, only shared hosting but even our shared hosters can get that on request...
I have heard good things about RackSpace and their support, never used them personally but heard good things. maybe you should try them.

Support, Support and Support. Any host which believes in giving quality support wins the race.

Support and lots of it comes first for me. Price only comes a distant second when coosing a server.

For me it will have to be uptime, followed by cost and user friendly web interface.
