I agree. Yahoo Answers is a great place to get traffic, if your niche is right. The trick is to give relevant, well thought out answers. If you can do that, it can give you some really good targeted traffic. As for PR, any links you add are no-follows, so you won't get any Google PR from it. I've heard that MSN doesn't follow the no-follow, so it might help you there.
You must choose questions that are in your niche? I suppose that's a pretty good way to get targeted traffic, if you work it right.
I'm going to try it myself again, I dabbled in it for awhile, I even got a best answer boy was I dancing a jig, but got no traffic for it. I'm ready to give it another try
But recently yahoo maintain a rules, they find if you only answer your niche questions. They will suspend you ! I noticed. Although you only give proper answer to proper place. Yahoo now wants you only answer to make their content, make their profit. You have no rights to put your links with answer. If you give 2 answer a day with link then ok. Otherwise they will delete all your answer and you. I find yahoo's selfish behavior.
Not sure why you think this. Do you have a link to these new rules? More than 90% of my answers have links in them, and I have had no issue yet. Yahoo would not target niche posters - wouldn't make sense as they have top answerers for each topic listed. I am not too active in Yahoo Answers right now due to commitments with other sites but do log in and answer a question now and then. Have as of yet to see any penalties or warnings.
They never delete before, but from last month they are doing. It's strange. But it's what i face now!
I have better than 50% best answers on Yahoo, and continue to use it with great success. I answer questions, and provide a link to a similar topic on my forum. Simple, people follow the link and tend to get involved in discussions - as they do with Yahoo Answers. I really like this service.
i have 5000-6000 uv on day you must only know how write good post and write allday new post i have to this special program - not to spam but to very good answer on some questio similar where i bought new sunglasses i tried everywhere and i didint found good if you re interested running this program write pm yahoo answer is the best for good traffic
How long you are using yahoo answer to post link? How many answer + link you post a day? btw i also get over 50% best answer, although now a days my acc got suspended. That is strange to me! What people like, how they can remove those answers!
I think that Yahoo is getting tougher now because there are many people now spamming answers by having several accounts then asking and answering their own questions. They then rate their answer the best for the extra weight it gives them. There have been several ebooks for sale that encourages this and I believe that it is now ruining it for the rest of us who give genuine help to those who ask.
They should target spammer, but they are targeting people who have over 50% best answer ! Then we have to stop answering their, because we are not doing charity to let yahoo do the business on our valuable answer.
Even if your anwser is right and discussion is decent, if you refer to your site resource links, you will get suspend without notify. yahoo really a selfish giant.
I have been using yahoo answer for almost three months to post link and to ask and answer for a related categories. So far i got 40% of best answers and definitely it is a good result for our site because it give traffic. Maybe your account is suspended because of too much spamming . The yahoo don't like it and they remove your answers
Spamming means when you give link non-related. So, i don't think i am spamming. + 50% over best answer is not that bad. So there is no question of spamming. I was yahoo for 7months almost, and for last month they started this irritating game! I think new user like you also will face it after over a certain range. Because non-yahoo link is simply not allow there now.
Used it for about 6 months once or twice a week, for about 30-45 minutes of browsing and answering (or as long as I was kept entertained). I always answered relevant questions to topics on my forum, or blogs. Actual content, with merit not just linking to sites for links. I feel quality is much better than quantity, and get a few hits a month but they have a great conversion rate (>50%)
I agree quality is better than quantity. And i also give only link there where it need or ppl ask for. I never reported by yahoo community. It's yahoo who is doing this, not people. It is my luck otherwise the category i choose their some useless yahoo clerk are reviewing.
Well, that's just a BIG piece of nonsense. If you answered in the English you just demonstrated in that answer, you probably would get the axe. But I have not encountered such a thing. In fact, I would say now that the biggest thing in the past to worry about is OTHER people ratting you out on Y!A. But now that they have instituted a new policy on reporting, it's less likely you'll be reported by a competitor.
