Web development, Networking and Security sounds like something that would cover much of what I see is in 'demand'.
I work in IT and I can tell you that you want to try and study as much as you can about the field of IT. In many jobs out in the real world, you will be hired as a programmer, and find youself doing hardware tech support, networking, etc. I say it's best to study the basics in a few other areas that you are interested in as well because once people know you're in IT, if whatever they broke is considered technology, people at work will ask you to fix it!!!
