Can Forums make you money?

Hello everyone,

I would just like to know if Forums can make you money? and how? adsense? textlink ad's? and how many members do you need to make money or how much traffic?

Sure forums can make money and you've named a few options as well. Selling your products can work as well and about members and traffic... that all depends on your conversions.

Well, making money from a forum seems to be a lot harder than making money from other sites. I'm sure you can earn good money from forums. Anyway, I think Adsense is the best option for making money on your forum.

this forum makes more than $18K a month as far I read somewhere..

 

WOW thats a alot, and DP only has the top banner including the random ones in some posts

 

you can easily make money on forum. Infact your alexa rank increases a lot because of a forum.

I got google page rank 2 after some time. I don't even concentrate on that much now.

i am into forums for a quite a long time.. and I can say that my results are not impressive at all.. my new non-forum site I started 6 month ago made more money than all my forums together

I got some few cash from this forum by trading and adsense sharing revenue.

 

Yes forums can make money. You could sell VIP accounts, advertising and also put some type of ads on your site.

 

but what i understand is that adsense is not really good for forums as the CTR is usually low.unless your forum is like DP which has super loads of visitors a day,then it is quite hard to make really serious cash.for myself,i prefer using blogs or other kinds of custom made scripts

 

i rememer a guy 10 years ago made milions off boards. he was a traffic broker and had a lot of traffic to see. he talked a lot of shit on the boards and was a very witty guy and would run circles around anyone that messed with him. he got so much attention and was so visible everyone sent him traffic, russian guy.

Hey surfmale, using forums to network... that's a good idea....

I hear of people using their forum sig links to get traffic, and also you can make offers on some forum's too to get sales, correct?

 

attractive income, DP forum has set an exmaple for us.

 

But the forums always cost much sever resources, I doubt if the hosting company allow me to host forums.
