I have a good day job, but have decided to make a little blog on the side. The exact reasons you can find in the first post on my blog. I am taking the long view with the intent to keep this going for years regardless of whether it makes money - this isn't a MFA site. But it still would be nice if it made money, and that's why I am asking for opinions The blog is: applebriefs.com I am an "experienced" web designer / programmer but have been out of the loop for the last few years because I no longer work as a web designer. I also only recently became involved in SEO, adsense, and blogging. I haven't done much SEO (just one directory submission to get crawled - which seems to have worked). Most of my visitors initially will be coming from my signature on list servs, etc. I would appreciate any opinions on general layout, adsense, etc. since - as I mentioned - I haven't done most of this before. i love the layout and placements...maybe add a rectangular ad at the bottom of the site navigations...not too rusty...cool site man...
Thanks for the suggestion (and the compliment!). If you added an add on the left under the navigation would you put it in a green box (like the navigation) or just have it float?
