Directories and a forum?

Hi,

Would directories be a root for me to go down with a forum?

I have no idea how to market or even SEO my forum I am learning

I have some books coming from what people have said I should read!

 

it never hurts to get some links for any type of website. feel free to submit to my forums directory

 

Yes promoting your forum by using directories would make sense.

I have a good selection of categories under the forum category in my directories, and if you do decide to go down that path il gladly add a specific category for your forum if the category doesn't already exist.

I'm using this model at Bloggeries and having terrific success. Just make sure it's a niche directory imo.

 

Just incase im getting confused, are you asking about submitting your forum to directories? or adding your own directory to your forum?

Ah, then maybe something like blogging, submitting articles, or press releases to be perfectly honest.

Well saying that, some directories are offering allsorts of features like allowing submitting your articles to the directories, video and things like that, obviously you can get backlinks from the directories too.

Maybe submit to niche directories, depending on your forum.

Or submit to directories of forums, or get banners made and use those on the niche directories if that applies to your forum.

Seen as Downunder offered that, il offer a free listing in one of my directories too.

If you have your forum up and running and dont mind pm'ing what it is, and il consider it, pleased dont be offended if i cant list it, depends on its contents, but if its legal and family safe its got a decent chance.

If you rather not disclose your site, then im not offended either.
