oh..well...i am so impressed :) So..we have the black, hidden, all-time-secret and well guarded "SEO Secrets" now which are only known by a few enlighted ones ?

Because SEO is "sooooooo" complex and mystical that a normal SEO only knows about 20%....and the remaining 80% are all hidden and guarded....tricks which noone ever heard.

You would have to prove your claims, really, to sell me ths report/book...and i am almost 99% positive that this book will have NOTHING at all which i or any other halfway competent SEO doesn't already know, be it BH, Gray or WH.

Sorry, there is only so much you can do...this includes all on-site and off-site, might branch into social-bookmarking methods and link-building, and, (if you want) apply various BH techniques.

I do not believe that nonsense of "hidden secrets" and gurus which will "reveal" new SEO methods never heard of.....absolutely not.

To put it bluntly, this guide can enable anyone to be an SEO, with real proven results.
    >>

    >>
To be honest, its really impossible to become a professional SEO...UNLESS you're personally mentored by someone.
    >>>

you dont see a discrepancy with those two statements of yours ? :)

First...there are people who dont even know HTML....so how can "anyone become a SEO" ? OH WAIT! By buying your guide....of course :)

In the next sentence then you say that noone actually can be a "real SEO"..except..well...except (i assume) they buy your book and YOU mentor them, right ? :)

Yes, that was precisely the dilemma. And which is the reason for this thread.

How is the knowledge supposed to be revealed, when there is so much at stake?

This is literally about the survival of the SEO industry as a whole.

it pains me to see how little aspiring SEOs know. This is one industry that is highly knowledge dependent.

You can be a good programmer by reading and practicing. Not so for SEO.

Everyone who teaches, has an interest at stake.

Few SEOs can be honest teachers. To be one, would require a great sacrifice. I have great respect for the real SEO teachers out there, a handful though they are.

Do you now see the purpose of the thread. This was basically a CATHARSIS, where I examined the inner struggle between the urge to teach, and the urge to retain what is truly an elite knowledge in the world today. I started this thread in a moment of anguish.

Wow! This thread is the biggest waste of space i have seen on DP - EVER.
Those who skipped the first 20 pages, I'll sum it up for you...

    ------------------------
Manchesterguy: I've got this amazing SEO guide that will revolutionize the interwebs and possibly the planet and human civilization. The only problem is that I can't decide what to do with it. Oh my God! its so awesome i just crapped my pants.

Response1: Sounds good, can we have a look?

Manchesterguy: Aren't you retards listening? I can't show you the guide! It's too revolutionary and volatile to the industry that it might put all IT and web professionals out of work! I could show it to you but then you would lose your job! Do you want to lose your job?

Response2: So, if you aren't gonna show us than why don't you sell it?

Manchesterguy: Don't you speak English? I cant show it to anybody. If anyone other than me reads it - It might cause the universe to collapse! Do you want to be responsible for the universe collapsing? Me either, that's why i have safely secured it in an empty box of peanut butter cap'n crunch cereal and buried it in my mom's rose garden.

Response3: Um, so what's the point of having the guide, let alone mentioning it here?

Manchesterguy3: SEE! This is what I am talking about! The SEO big-shots don't want you to know their big secrets. And the rest of the noobs cant figure it out on their own. This is why my guide is so mind-blowingly superdicktacious - its everything you need to know about everything ever.
    ------------------------

In case any of you are wondering whether you'll ever get to actually read this amazing SEO guide - I'll solve the mystery for you...NO

Because, i am willing to bet, this guy hasn't written it yet.

Words of wisdom :). That's the truth. If the OP was able to back up his claim...

a better strategy would be to offer some kind of "proof in the pudding" in this thread. I tend to agree this is a whole lot of nothingness when it comes to actually learning something new. The OP has decided to keep all his cards close to his chest...fair enough.

To me there's nothing to support his bold claim above other than allot of people attracted to that.

Since you are well into writing your e-book how bout sharing a little piece of magic with us? Perhaps you can tell us a bit about your take on the first steps to building a search-engine proven website?

well for starters, its not through PPC like Aaron Wall states in his latest SEO Book update: http://sphinn.com/story/14467

See how they like to lead you up blind allies. PPC has NOTHING to do with SEO. in fact, its the anti-thesis of SEO.

Maybe I should start a poll here to find out how many members think that PPC has anything whatsoever to do with SEO. I believe the results would be that 99% or more of all members never even thought such a thing

    You were asked:

And you replied with "...its not through PPC..." So that is your first step?

Where are you going with this? Waffleguy did not say they believed that PPC was a good SEO tool. I think I am the one who is ROFL. He said that without proof how can we believe? Referring to your thread NOT PPC
