if thats the case then you need to be honest and tell people that listen i have personal problems, this and that, and i will make it up to you, people will understand. but the way he said it was like this: i have personal problems, im in the hospital, but my guys are in the office and working on your website. LIES!!!! nothing was been done to a website, not a single thing. All he was supose to do was off-site seo, and nothing, nothing was done. Maybe he does do something for others, but it seems to me that he also just takes someone else's money.

Maybe he cant cant handle all the work, who knows, all i know we paid him for a job, and nothing was done, so I cant recommend him to anyone, and the promises of returning the money back - so far no money, the guy is not responding, unless you pretend to be a new customer.

 

Man, I was trying so give this guy a break. I really was. I'm the guy volk23 is talking about - he refered Sanjoy to me.

This is how it all unfolded. I emailed him outside of DP, and asked for quote, which he gave. Then right away the craziness started.

First, he couldn't figure out how I'd pay him. He'd go between sending money to one PayPal, then split between two paypals, then he finally said send it through WU or something like that, to which I responded that I will only pay through PayPal because if something goes wrong, I can recover my money with PayPal, with WU - it is gone forever. One of the wisest things I did over the past 2 months as it turns out.

Then, all of a sudden, I receive an email from him that was obviously misdirected - he was arguing with another unsatisfied customer. But as I already paid him, and he was recommended - I let that go, although started to get weary.

Then 2 weeks of silence, so I emailed him and asked him if he was doing anything. He told me that he was doing directory and reciprocal directory submissions and everything was going according to plan. How he was doing reciprocal I do not know - I certainly did not give him access to my site, nor would I ever agree to that. But as I was monitoring backlinks - it was at the same number as before I gave him the job.

So 4 weeks into it, I asked him for a report on what was done, as the number of backlinks has not changed at all - even easy stuff, like social bookmarking was not done. So he said he will give me a report in a week, after about 2 weeks, I get an email that says something like my mother is sick, and is in the hospital, but we have been doing directory submissions for you. To which I responded that I do not believe him as I do not see any results, and I asked him for a list of what directories he submitted me to. 2 days with no answer.

So I now decide to go to DP and use my account here, which I seldom use, to post a message in here, and say that I am interested. I get an instantaneous response from him with the sales pitch. The funny thing was that as it turns out, he sent me an email 20 minutes earlier that I have not seen yet, that said that he will give me another report in 24 hours, and he was in the hospital. Yet he responded to my inquiry here instantaneously.

So I wrote him probably 2-3 emails saying that I understand if he has a personal problem, and he couldn't get to my stuff - he just has to be honest about it, tell me what he did and did not do, and tell me what he plans on doing and when. I get zero responses. Nothing. No acknowledgment of anything, no willingness to resolve it. Nothing.

I really did not want to screw him and tried to give him every opportunity to fix it, but he doesn't want to do it. And that is why I finally have to post this - so beware.

I have been able to get information from him regards to the links and what he has been doing (I expect this information as I have not got into the top 10 yet). I asked the same thing about the reciprocal linking and was told that he was linking to someones site and the other site was linking to me.

My KW did very well in the beginning, it went from > 200 to about 49 (the best its ever been), so it has worked to some extent. My KW has since drop out of the top 200, however I have been told that this is normal and it should come back down. I have been told this before Sanjoy reiterated the statement (that the KW will come down), it has even been suggested that the KW is very near the top when it does this. I do not know how true this is but as I said it has been said before however I am sure there is someone that will tell me otherwise and basically I don't know who to believe as SEO seem to have conflicting statements from everyone. The conflicting statement is what makes this task so difficult for me to do it myself, so I rely on other to do it for me. I might just take Sem-Advance up on his offer, however it will not be because I think Sanjoy is ripping me off, its because I have read other comments that he has helped others.

As far as backlinks go, you need to wait a while (maybe 1 month) before you will see it as a backlink, and on top of that, Google will most likely not show the link using the Google link command, its best to try find the link in Google webmaster tools (sitemaps).

My KW is very competitive, so I am one of those who will not take him up on the initial guarantee as I see that there has been an improvement and that work is being done. I do not think there is anyone that would be able to get me to the top 10 in 60 days WITHOUT using back hat.

I would not mind if someone else would comment about the KW getting into the top 50 then dropping off the chart (>200) and let me know if this is a temp thing or not.

It would be great if someone, ie Sem-Advance , would go through some of my SEO type statements and shed some light on my statements / thinking.

I have also taken part in "Cheap SEO Services" seo service (for another site), he also has a guarantee and that guarantee I will be enforcing as it seems the only proof I will have is if my KW's are in the top 10, I was the first to join his offer so I could see some results before anyone else (started it on about 24th of October)

 

i think this is whats happening, Sanjoy posted a good price for a pretty good offered services. People jumped all over it, he took everyone's money but can handle only so much work.

And thats it, so there are some satisfied customers and there are bunch of people got screwed completely. He did what he promised for some people, he did some of the work he promised to other people, and he didn't do ANYTHING for the rest. That simple.

that is not true at all. It is true that it takes a month to a month and a half to start seeing real difference in your positioning, but backlinks start to show up often with a day or two. My site has 4! backlinks for over a month. And that is simply impossible if anything was done at all.

We recently did an experiment with a brand new domain for one of the most competitive keywords on the market, and went from 0 to over 200 backlinks within 3 weeks.

He has not done anything, and he would not respond to me and admit it. Which is why I posted here.

 

Yep, that's right. Usually when I start link building, my backlinks increase by 30-40 numbers each day.

 

So this guy has the nerve to tell me that I posted like he stole $320,000 from me, not the $320. He doesn't even get it. He wasted my time, lied continuously - and now he is laughing about it and saying it is only $320. Definitely stay away.

You couldn't work on this because of your mother being sick? Did you forget that the first time I asked you for a report, about 3 weeks into it, you said that you were busy with a festival? What are you? 12? No disrespected intended to those who are twelve here.

So first he lies about doing the work, then once we started to post here, he finally woke up, admitted that he didn't do anything (volk23 has a trascript of the AIM conversation), refunds the money, tells me that it is not that big of a deal, and then has the nerve to post on here that he actually did do something?

Sanjoy, after you wasted my time, I started my own directory submissions. Those backlinks you see there - I did that. About a week ago, after I already told you to buzz off. It takes 3 days to show up on Yahoo and Google - because I used the paid directories in a lot of cases, just so that I can actually show some progress. Naturally, I have all of the email confirmations and receipts if anyone doubts.

This guy has some serious issues. Bad stuff happens to everyone, problems surface, it is how you deal with those problems that separates good providers from bad. Like I said, he has some serious issues, and at this point, so would anyone that decides to deal with him.

This is business, not personal ...
