When you buy a "used" domain...

    Do you consider those points and which value do you give to them?

    PR?
    Age of the domain?
    Alexa rank?
    Backlinks?
    Indexed pages?

    Do you prefer a high PR or a lot of indexed pages?
    Backlinks? A real value or not?

    When I look to buy a domain, I don't look at the PR, backlinks or indexed pages. I may look at the Alexa rank to give me an idea on the traffic the domain receives.

    I mainly look at the age and the quality of the domain, usually two word generic, .com's.

    What would really matter for me if I would buy a used domain (or a developped site) are SERPS for words related to my business. But actually I never did this

    When I am buying expired domains I look only on the domain name (short, .com, relavant keywords and similar characteristics)

    Nope, I just look at if the domain is a good one that can be resold later at a reasonable profit to a domainer or an enduser. Also, if the domain is getting type-in traffic & revenue, then better still

    It depends on what you are going to use that domain for. If you're parking it, the type-in traffic is a good thing.
    If you are buying a site and want to continue with that site, get some stats from the current owner.

    I only look at the domain name. I might consider checking to see what used to be there to make sure I won't get any penalties for using it, but generally speaking I ignore what was there before me.

    Is there a market for domains with this kind of profile?

    Any domains
    3 to 9 months old
    PR0 or PR1
    Backlinks = around 200
    Indexed pages = Between 100 to 500

    I understand that the domain itselft without any of those could have a certain value, but I just try to figure out if PR, backlinks and indexed pages could give an extra.

    Per example,
    Domain itself = 50$
    More than 200 backlinks = Add 5%
    More than 200 indexed pages = Add 10%
    PR1 = Add 5%
    Total value = 60$

    Page rank and backlinks, the backlinks are very important to keep the Page Rank :) I have not too worry about indexed pages...

    How much "extra" value do you give to backlinks
    0 - 100 = 5%?
    101 - 300 = 10%?
    301 - 1000 = 25%?
    ... ???
