Errrr no. I am using the bible in reply to the stupidity of people like debunked. Now in Islam we never use the bible for anything, its heavily corrupt. If anyone is picking and choosing its you, e.g. do you eat pork? I find it funny how people like you and debunked get so annoyed when we start talking about the bible, yet you want people to accept your claims, like it has no contradictions. Sorry but i reject blind belief.
Lets look at some bible prophecies. Genesis 21 Here is the fist encounter of Muhammad (pbuh) with angel Gabriel as reported by his wife, Ayesha. Ok now consider the prophesy of the book that was sealed: Isaiah 29 This same book is mentioned in revelations. Revelation 5 Now open up to the first page of the Quran. Surah 1. The Opening
I've found debunked to be a lot of things.. Stupid is not one of them. Anyway.. How is a book corrupt? Again, Islam took directly from passages in the "Bible" when their religion was invented a few years back... Does that now make Islam corrupt? I'm not sure I understand your logic here. Of course I do.. It's a healthier alternative to red meat, and damn does it ever taste good. I will be making baked pork riblets for the family tonight. I'm not the one who is annoyed here... I asked some very specific questions about conversion.. If I want to become a Muslim, can I continue to eat McRibbs when they become available (a rarity), and can I keep my White Lab? You've answered back with the typical belittling and condescending rhetoric I have come to expect from people with an agenda predicated on a false pretense.. Blind belief? You mean faith? I'll take that over "submission" any day!
1. Islam didnt take any passages from the bible! 2. 1400 years isnt exactly a 'few' years. 3. Since you eat pork, are you not then picking and choosing from the bible, since it tells you not to. 4. Those questions are just stupid, Mcribbs, if they are pork rips, pork is forbidden in Islam. 5. BTW I was replying to you last post, not your questions. 6. If you think submitting your will to your Creator is a bad thing, thats your problem. Have a nice day
Actually it did.. Lest you forget, the "Bible" came long before Islam. In the overall scheme of things, looking at the age of Christianity, the age of the "Bible", and the age of the earth, it seems to me, Islam ranks very low on the totem pole.. No offense intended.. It's just reality. Please show me where it says that... There are no restrictions in the "Bible" forbidding Christians from eating pork... Show me a single reference requiring non-Jews to refrain from eating pork and I'll stop eating it. Why? If it is not really pork, can I still eat a McRibb? Is fake pork forbidden too? Why on earth is pork forbidden anyway? Yet you made reference to one of my questions.. Again, what about my dog, do I have to give him up too? Oh, I was not talking about submission to God... I was talking about submission to a religion.... I think you know that and certainly know what I mean about that... Don't you.
Your pretty dim arent you lol. Didnt the Old testament come before the New testament, does that mean, they're copies of each other? right...... your logic makes lots of sense. Islam is the final revelation to mankind, the NT was mostly written centuries after Jesus and no originals exist, lots of copies that differ from each other are what we have. The bible is ridden with errors, mistakes and contradicts itself many times, Whilst the Quran has been preserved for 1,400 years, memorized cover to cover by millions even today. Lev 11:6-8 Now lets remind ourselves what Jesus said: Has the earth disappeared? You must understand, if you follow paul and say the law is dead to me, then you are saying jesus lied. No, no i dont, i think you dont know much about Islam. Islam means to submit your will to God, a MUslim just means someone who 'does islam'. Now i have 3 exams tomorrow, i must really start preparing instead wasting time on dp. C ya! Watch this: Bible scholar - Dr. Bart D Ehrman
Try the Old Testament. Your bigotry is unbelievable Mia. Try understanding your own culture and religion before pissing on others.
I'm not talking about the Old Testament vs. the New Testament. I'm talking about the Quran. It's drawn much of its confused message from passages in the "Bible". Warped, distorted, and out of context loose interpretation, coupled with the rantings of a mad man/pedophiie. It's not a question of logic.. It's a question of actually reading what I wrote responding to it with a lucid reply. That is your opinion. Now how did I know you would try and quote Leviticus... Are you sure you would not rather cite "15:1", or how about "11:1-47"? Hell, why not throw Deuteronomy 14 in there too.. I like this article which I had prepared for your predictable response. http://minuteswithmessiah.tripod.com/question/pork2.html These were laws given to Jew's, not Christians.. Me thinks you should stop relying on the ramblings of propagandists and actually read the "Bible" It's not a law, and it does not apply to Christians.. If you had read the"Bible" you would have come to that conclusion yourself as well. Oh, you do know.. I think I know enough to know that anyone that ever enters into a discussion about it trying to convince me that it is a religion of peace ends up pretty pissed and upset. So how would a Jew then submit? Or a non-muslim? Paying taxes, how exactly? Can a Jew submit his will to God? What about a Christian? I agree.. You have much to learn yet, my young one.. Age and experience will hopefully calm you down a bit.
Once again, the Old Testament is brought up to defend outrageous claims.. Will this never end? Show me where it says non-Jews are forbidden from eating pork, EVEN IN THE OLD TESTAMENT??? Bigotry? I'm not pissing on anyone.. I'm asking 2 simple questions. Can I eat a McRibb if I convert to Islam? What happens to my Dog if I convert to Islam? Me thinks you should look up dem big words like "bigot" before you start throwing them around for no apparent reason. You're upset because you have a differing opinion. It's hard to respect someone who gets upset at someone else's opinion. Can you answer my questions, or are you just going to keep name calling?
Link already provided, read it how you like. What about your referring to Arabs in another thread and your response move to laugh it off? It would take a lot more than someone like you to upset me, trust me on that one. Per your own words, only children name call even though you seem to do it regularly.
I did.. That is where I found my answer.. No where in the "Bible" does it say non-Jews are forbidden from eating pork.. Thanks guys for that informative link. I made no reference to "Arabs"... What are you talking about? Then why are you so upset? Seems there is only one person doing name calling here... Please try to be a little nicer and show some respect to those that are trying to help you.
Quite laughable, you are very muddled, you have very limited understanding of the bible, according to you, the pagan gentiles are favored upon the jews, since they don't need to follow the law. That makes sense. Why would God send down laws for hundreds and hundreds of years and then inspire a man to write 27 books that completely contradicted everything he commanded. Example: Deuteronomy 7:1-6 Paul had other ideas... 1 Corinthians 7
The Quran is a Divine Miracle of Literature [Prophesy - Science - Warnings - Wisdom - Truths] ..and it has been Preserved 100% In the Original Language - for over 1,400 years! Humanity has received Divine Guidance only through two channels: the Word of Almighty God ("Allah" [in Arabic]) [scriptures, Bible, Psalms, etc.] the Prophets sent by the Allah to communicate His Will to mankind These two things have always been going together, hand in hand. The Quran speaks to "mankind" Quran speaks to all of mankind on a general basis without regard to race, tribe, color, social position, financial condition or genealogy. Allah the Almighty says: "O Mankind! What has seduced you from your Lord so Generous?" [Holy Quran 82:6] ------------------------------------- Speaking about the Quran, Goethe says, [Goethe - quoted in T. P. Huges "Dictionary of Islam", p. 526] [G. Maragliouth in his Introduction to J. M. Rodwells - 'The Koran", New York - 'Everyman's Library, 1977, p VI] [Dr Steingass quoted in T. P. Hughes - "Dictionary of Islam", pp 256-257] [Dr. Maurice Bucaille - author of "The Bible, the Qur'an and Science" 1978, p. 125] [Dr. Steingass, quoted in Hughes' Dictionary of Islam p. 528] [Arthur J. Look at the people in this thread - look at Aceday compared to Mia, is this what Christianity is compared to Islam? If Mia represents anything to do with the people in Christianity then I seriously am worried. At least Aceday includes proof after proof in his posts where Mia just name calls with his friend debunked. Typical DP Scenario: Aceday: Proof, Verses, Proof, etc Mia: DID YOUR IMAM TELL YOU THAT, PUNK? Debunked: IMAM IMAM IMAM IM SO OBSESSED WITH ISLAM I CANT STOP TALKING ABOUT IT EVEN THOUGH I HATE IT. Seriously. lol. Get a life both of you.
And once again the muslims try to show their "superiority" not by exposing the great teachings of the greatest prophet ever (Mohammed) but by finding "faults" with the Bible. I still retain my views that Islam or should I say the greatest prophet ever (Mohammed) didn't really come up with any new great teachings other than to spread by the sword the religion he started. I am retaining my views because I still fail to see any greater teachings or miracles that Mohammed performed. To me it's simple: prophet A: greater miracles, greater teachings. Prophet A is still alive (empty tomb) prophet B: no miracles, no great teachings. Prophet B died and was buried in Medina. This means, prophet A (the one with more miracles and greater teachings) is the greater of the two. And if you're not sure who I mean by prophet A, that prophet is Jesus Christ
Muslims want to claim the Bible is corrupt and unusable but at the same time want to use it to legitimize Islam as we see here in this thread. It's a common tactic used by a lot of false religions. I wonder why Christianity doesn't try to legitimize itself by using other peoples' religious texts...
The same is argued about Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon. "Pilgrim's Progress" was written by an illiterate Christian and blows the BoM and Quran out of the water in terms of philosophical depth and use of language. Muhammad didn't present any scientific ideas that weren't known by educated people around the world at that time. His prophecies come from Jewish texts. Uneducated people can easily be fooled by scam artists that fail to mention their sources when trying to convince people they know something that no one else does. He also advocates the use of urine to cure various things. pregnant mare urine is the modern incarnation of that medication. It was recently found to cause breast cancer and is no longer prescribed. Ooops.
Its not muslims who claim the bible is corrupt, its bible scholars and people who spend their lives studying it, many in fact become agnostic. Look, if wanting the book i ascribe to God to be free of mistakes and contradictions is too much, thats your bad. Maybe when Mark says that Jesus was crucified the day after the Passover meal was eaten (Mark 14:12, 15:25) and John says he died the day before it was eaten (John 19:14), maybe that is a genuine difference. Or when Luke indicates in his account of Jesus's birth that Joseph and Mary returned to Nazareth just over a month after they had come to Bethlehem (and performed the rites of purification, Luke 2:39), whereas Matthew indicates they instead fled to Egypt (Matt. 2:19-22), maybe that is a difference. Or when Paul says that after he converted on the way to Damascus he did not go to Jerusalem to see those who were apostles before him (Gal. 1:16-17), whereas the book of Acts says that that was the first thing he did after leaving Damascus (Acts 9:26) maybe that is a difference.
