I was actually mistaken. The ad was in the local flyer that we get in the mail once every couple of weeks. I already threw away the main flyer but I found the ad on the flyer's website: http://www.theflyer.com/info/showinfo.aspx?id=563333TAM
Just reported this incident to Google. Hopefully it will be taken care of. I hope I don't turn out to be an idiot if there is another purpose for being a Google Clicker. There could be a purpose in the search engines.
Selfish thinking. A quick tip to google can prevent possible 1000's of dollars of losses to their advertisers. Its not a fight between google and publisher, but dozens of people.
I'm curious to know who is behind that. The number is toll free so it could be anybody in this world.
How do you know its not google looking for people to do some sort of survey of such? I know google sometimes doesnt hire directly. My friend just got a job with google doing something for search engines, she doesnt quite know yet, she starts next week but shes an Independant Contractor hired from some other company goog recruits from.
i think since google started figuring out that you are asking your visitors to click ads , thats the only way they cant find with their spiders
I would mail the ad into Google. The whole newspaper at that and then with a letter explaining what's going on. I'm sure they have an address for their fraud department. I don't think writing a letter alone would do it. With the ad, Google could make the call pretending to be a potential "ad clicker" to find out more details.
Good explanation.People need to change the attitude of only looking at saving their own a$$. If you report this idiots, advertisers would feel more confident about putting in their money and raising bids. If click fraud is everywhere, who will put their money at stake? ever learnt the demand-supply logic?
