I saw so many people said the gaming niche's ads are really cheap.

Can I get someone to tell me that it is not that horrible? For example, focus on 1 thing in the gaming niche (playstation 3) or something like that... will it help?

Even if I target something very specific it would still pay very low? Like Playstation 3?

Also would you guys rather to target a niche that has higher paying clicks or a broader market like gaming news?

my sites are in the gaming niche, personally, I think it is a great niche because traffic is easier to get and stickier than most other niches.. the key is to do something original with mass appeal that is not so saturated.. an arcade site would probably be a waste of time, unless you implemented in an interesting way like kongregate.com did... Targeting PS3 is not a bad idea.

You could create 3 sites for PS3, 360, and Wii.. offer something original and the visitors will come much easier..a contest might be a good idea, viral articles such as "10 Worst 360 games", or something else such as funny/entertaining video reviews of games would work well in my opinion

    Best of luck

The gaming industry is for teenagers - teenager niches usually pay low.
You can make a lot though.

I see... so that means easier to get traffic but lower paid ads.

Yes, but the more traffic you have, the more money you'll be able to make.

I have a game site that pays absolutely nothing. I get clicks...but they're just so low paying, I don't even bother with it anymore

Damn gaming AND forum? That is probably the worse Adsense combination as neither makes good money with Adsense... unless you have traffic like DP, which 98% of sites on the web do not have.

You probably though could make some good money with CPM, banners, advertisements and also maybe affiliates programs.
