I'm sure some of you SEO gurus out there know how to increase your rankings in Google with tips and tricks. I don't even know how I did it. Can you help me out?

care to give us more info or do you want us to guess what the keyword and site is?

At a guess, i would say the keywords are not that competative.

I'm #1 on all SEs, but its a tribute website to a special person, so no selling involved (yet):)

I have a few sites currently ranked #1 on google - mainly poker/blackjack related and one dog related.

Done nothing "special" in particaular to achive that. No "fancy" SEO tactics. However - each domian name is of high relevance to the subject matter of each site.

My belief is that has been crucial rather then seeking squillions of back links.

I also believe that page rank is vastly over-rated. None of my #1 ranked sites have a page rank above 3.

My site is a new one, only for about 2weeks,but some has a good rank, now Google has send me 39 visitors.
I think the structure of the site and the content is important.also you need to find out the right keywords.
You need to update everyday or severaldays, and submit to many directories and comment other's blog in your field, put a Keywords backlink point to your site.

My domain name contains my personal name. My website has ranked #1 in Google for my first and last name since the beginning of my website. But so what? No one searches for that name!

Digital Point gets a lot of posts like this thread. The posters apparently don't realize that it's very simple to rank on Google's first page for a term that no one searches for. In fact, the reason it's so easy to rank high for noncompetitive terms is that professional webmasters don't even bother with those keywords. Why should they? If no one searches for them, there is zero ROI (return on investment) pursuing those keywords.
