8. I own a PS3 but I've played the 360 for a little while. I honestly think the PS3 is overpriced for what it is. 360 has the same graphics, is almost half the price of a PS3 and has a huge game collection.
Exactly, ps3 and xbox360 are a close match. Don't know if that's going to change in the near future though. Remember the enormous improvement in terms of graphics on ps2? Think about some of the first games for ps2 and some of the newest. There's a big difference. Now I don't know if that was the same with xbox in the beginning, since I don't own one. Maybe some xbox-owners can confirm this, but I believe it was the same for xbox. Anyway, the only drawback (for me) is the joypad of xbox. It feels a bit clumsy at first, and awkward. But that's probably because I'm used to playing with playstation joypads. The clumsy feeling etc. is probably going to fade if I play more xbox. Just buy an xbox360. As the previous one said, it costs less and at the moment has more games. Buy ps3 when they drastically slash their prices. (or buy a Wii, those things are fun as hell ) have a nice day, jobic
I'd say 8/10, too. It's not the perfect system, no game system really is, but it has a nice library of games out for it now, more so then any next gen system so far (in my opinion). They only downside, really, is it's going to break sooner or later.
xbox 360 far to superior to the ps3 in every aspect, and the wii.... well, thats just crap to keep a 6 year old amused.
I have a wii and 360, but Havnt touched the wii in about 6 months... Just not any interesting games for it, although I want to get super mario galaxy. 360 has tons of good games for it, I still want to buy COD4, Assassins creed, Orange box and mass effect. (which will end up putting my 360 games to over 30 already..)
considering that 5 of my friends have had to send the xbox back because a game has broken it, I'd say it's a big POS
Yeah...why all the hate for the Wii. My friends all have one, and they are all 20+. Granted, they don't play it alot (or hadn't til Super Mario Galaxy), but still.
People have been labelling Nintendo consoles "for children" or "kiddy" for years and it never stops no matter how untrue it is I guess the world will always be full of ignorant people Ah well, at least the Wii and Ds continue to sell like hotcakes
Yeah, that label will never go away. I've been playing Nintendo games since the NES, I grew up with them and, while I can see where the preception might come from, I don't consider them kiddy. The games might have brighter graphics and less dark feels to the story, they are still great games for all ages. I don't know...if you sincerly can't enjoy a game like Super Mario Galaxy because you think it's too kiddy I find it kind of strange, that's all. I mean, GameRankings.com just listed Super Mario Galaxy the top rated game of all time!
I believe that the Halo version of the 360 has the (literally) cooler processor which is supposed to relieve the "red ring of death" problems. It's an ugly green color, but I'd probably buy that one if I could get a new one right now. Otherwise, I like mine a lot. Had it for 6 months and no problems at all (yet).
I too am and have always been a fan of nintendo right from the nes up until the n64. When I say it'll keep the kiddies happy, I mean that its so basic and stripped down in comparison to the 360 that it would be difficult for the more mature gamer to be able to choose the wii over the 360 when they've had a chance to compare. The games from nintendo have always been very creative, but at the moment the wii is not a serious gaming console when it stands next to the 360. No game on the wii or ps3 can compare to 360 titles like gears of war, call of duty 4 or assasins creed.
I just read this before I came upon your post... http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=550439
My boyfriend and I each have a 360 and really enjoy playing together, or being able to play different games and still be able to chat online with each other. The array of games that I have liked have far surpassed any other console. We have a Wii as well, but hardly EVER touch it because we are usually playing the 360 everyday. Assassins Creed, Orange Box, Shadowrun, Two Worlds, Oblivion (my fave so far), The Darkness, BioShock, the list of awesome games goes on and on. But, we already had to send one Xbox back in for the red ring of death issue which took 4 weeks, and I have issues with my Wireless Adapter, but other than that, I would give it an 8/10. Very much worth the money!!!
