Wow, this thread is nearly a year old! Still kickin'. :)

I just checked out Squidoo and I really liked the idea; I've created a lens for guitarists to check out. Rate it if ya like it! :D

I'm just beginning to understand more about RSS and have been wondering why it wouldn't be possible to create a feed for a squidoo lens and hosting it on an external website. I.e; Feed URL would be mywebsite dot com /squidoofeed.xml

You can display RSS feeds on Squidoo so that would be possible...

You can use both a feed on your lens and also export a feed from your lens.

Thank you Reprobate. That is a very useful lens for HTML for Squidoo. I found some of the HTML used on squidoo are different than the regular ones.

The HTML that can be used is limited, but we've figured out ways to get a hell of a lot of mileage out of it by slipping in some styles with the bold and paragraph tags.

This thread is still the original and the best!

Anyway, I'm dropping by to mention that my lens on Basic HTML made it to #1 spot on the Lensrank ladder!

I'm a brand-new Squidoo fan. Just discovered it. A new lens just a few weeks old is already showing up in
SERPs and has given me about 50 new deep links. All for free! What a deal.

    Congratulations Reprobate, that's a massive achievement. :)

I've visited that lens quite a few times myself. This just goes to prove that usefulness wins on squidoo.

    All the best,
    Riatsala

Hey, this thread is still kicking. Nice ;)

BTW have anyone regained PageRank since Squidoo did that foolish redirection few months ago?

The redirection was important, because before then every lens had two URLs and PageRank was being split. We should soon see the PageRank of lenses improving.

    Not that PageRank matters.

Couldn't agree more. The basic html lens is such a cool resource, I've visted it countless time whenever I needed some html help!

Besides, reprobate has been a great help personally as well. Never have been able to thank him properly. Kudos man!

You wouldn't believe how many times *I* visit them!

Sometimes I'm too lazy to type it all up so I stop by and do a copy and paste of the code.
