I am wondering if there are any special tips for SEO for a Joomla site. Basically I am looking on some ideas for a page rank (current rank is PR0). The site in question is www.VeganIsGreen.com. Any tips would be appreciated. Oh and I'm not interested in a SEO package for this site....so no PM's about this please
SEO wise you need some "real" backlinks, almost all those partner\link sites aren't related to your content, which is a no-no. Get your inbound links using the anchor text as the keyword\phrase you want to rank for in the search engines. Thats right, but SEO is meant not for Google search engine, as well as MSN and Yahoo. I would not relate PageRank and SEO close up together.
Yes but you need to place the links on sites that have relevant content to the theme of your site too.
Well, to get a page rank you need to get some quality inbound links to your site. organic links from sites in the same niche as yourself. What keywords are you wanting to target? and I can offer some accurate advice. i cant tell from your page First up you need to make the page title of your home page contain the keywords you are targetting. Joomla is NOT search engine friendly out of the box Then download a suitable meta tag and description creating module for SEO The choice is yours but do some research on the Joomla forums... read up on Joomla,the ask any intelligent questions, and then ask some more questions.. They do not like people just asking 'how do I make my joomla site number 1 in Google and give it lots of SEO love"!! so you will need to read up a lot more I suggest
So basically I need PageRank and not SEO Thanks for the tips. I am currently using ARTIO JoomSEF plugin. Not sure if its as good as the one you mentioned but it is more popular. I did notice that its not SEO freindly (unlike Wordpress). If I install an SEO plugin could that help?
