SEOs think from a traffic centric viewpoint. Quality content can bring in traffic if its link bait, but that is not always the case!
The site is a video site, so it's the same video on a dozen different pages. Why waste link equity and crawl budget on these other 11 versions? Also why does my 50,000 page article site get less traffic than my 150 page site if "a larger site will definately get more traffic".
why would you want to put the same video on a dozen different pages. you should have a different video for every page, along with unique descriptions.
If you read the thread, he's site is in multiple languages which means the same page is replicated about a dozen times.. One for each language. But because of the nature of the site being videos, there's a low volume of text which means all language versions are quite similar.
Now i am stopping the Use of Multi Language Plugin. May it be helpful to get my ranking on the keyword.
I would look very close at the basic 6 element of SEO that your are using. Some are missing, some are overused, some might just piss off the SEs.
good rankings doesnt depend on how many post have you in your site. but the unique and well organize content.. if you do that. you in to ranking as well as you get traffic.
