    Sparked by a forum topic I think britishguy started a few days ago, I decided to post some of the most popular directory keywords and a small how to for doing your own research. Mainly aimed at new directory owners, but maybe helpful for anyone.

    Thanks, vic. I think targeting some keywords is an important part of any directory's success. I still have not decided what keywords I want to target which is probably the biggest downfall to Lobo Links. Something I am not afraid to admit, mostly hoping others will learn from it.

    If you look at any truly dominate directory (traffic wise, which I believe is vital to directories), they have dominated some popular keywords at one time or another. So keyword research and marketing surely plays a important part in the directory market.
