Payment processor in India

    Hi friends,

Does anyone know of a cheap payment processor in India (able to charge customers in Indian Rupees). I checked out CCAvenue, Transecute and ABCPayments but their fees is too high (5% or more per transaction). The product I am planning to sell has a very low profit margin and I can't afford to loose 5% as credit card processing fee.

Are there any other options available?

    Ajay.

In India you don't have many options of payment processing .
The only one I found is paypal but they first charge you 5% on credit card processing , then when you think of withdrawing , there is 5 euro fee , about 7 or 8 dollars on checks . Plus requires Visa, mastercard , american express or discover credit card to raise the withdrawal limit . Why credit card for sending checks ??? This last thing sucks .
By the way , what are you selling ?
    Regards

Thanks a lot for your responses. I already use PayPal on some of my other sites, but they do not allow you to bill your customers in Indian Rupees. Guess there aren't that many options in India :(

Asianpay.com has a 4.25% processing fee; when you are looking into Asian payment systems, I strongly suggest you do your due diligence. It's almost worth it to pay higher fees with PayPal and force your customers to use US Dollars, just for that peace of mind that you're dealing with a reputable company.

    Best,
    Howard Hsu.

CCAvenue is the best and reliable. There is one more which is "paisapay" of indian ebay company. I hope that works out for you. But u can't skip transaction fee levied by any merchant company.

Hey what is that mean in asianpay payment gateway.

    "2 to 3 days Counter deposit Thailand Saving/Checking accounts: US$ 4.00
Next Day Bangkok Area Thai Bahtnet deposit Thailand Saving/Checking accounts: US$ 6.00
Next Day Upcountry Area Thai Bahtnet deposit Thailand Saving/Checking accounts: US$ 10.00
SWIFT Transfer (Intl. only) US$ 16.00
Fees may apply on receiver side from the receiving bank or from the intermediary bank
SWIFT Transfer (Intl. only) US$ 39.00
We pay all the fees also the one from the Intermediary bank"

Means they are going to pay these feeses by there on poket:p ,or they will cut these amout from my account:(
i am not getting it if they will take this amount from my account this is too much..
By the way i have my money in paypal, and wanna get it in india.Paypal take only $5 to send a check to me but it take so much time around 15-20 days.
From paypal to asianpay, asianpay will take 4.35% of my amount but what amount aisanpay will take to transfer my money from asianpay to my indian bank accout.

    guys...

any of u indians tried opening up a bank account with a american bank and then ask for a U.S. bank and try to withdraw from paypal...

paypal says in their website that direct bank withdrawal can be made only to u.s. banks inside u.s. only....

right now i am in talks with a u.s. bank (bangalore branch) and they have agreed in principle that this is possible...:p ...gotta wait and see...

will come to know by this weekend...so keep watching this space for more info on this...

the only bugging thing is i had to make a bargain...i agreed to take their credit card if they cud arrange this arrangement...:D

    1st update: stupid me....the bank is actually a UK bank...and not a US bank....

what i have noticed from intl. banks is that they provide debit/ATM cards using which u can withdraw from anywhere...of course some fees will be debited...it is better than the time to wait for getting ur paypal check to get cleared...

Does Anyone know this issue ?

can u withdraw funds to your US account of a UK bank....i believe paypal says that u can withdraw to a US account of a US bank....

can anyone pls clarify this issue..

    thanx...

Has anyone used paisapay for receiving payments? How is their service? CCAvenues fixed costs are very high, esp. if you have low volumes

As i think that paisapay is only for the ebay customers, i tried to find out the details to use that out of eaby customers, but i think there is not statements there providing information regarding this.
