Well my word of advice

Don't purchase life time accounts and don't purchase unlimited space and bandwidth deals.

That basically covers everyone on this forum.


Next look for reviews on a site like webhostingtalk.com. It's reviews a lot more genuine than around here where 12 hours of down time is forgotten in 5 seconds once things are up.

 

Erhm, InFlow, there is actually some of us that is not selling unlimited deals and one time deals.

There is actually some of us that has a good company with a good economoy.

My Lunarpages shared plan with the max 11 domains hosted has been treating me well. I've had it since April of this year.

 

I now host myself, but before I started hosting in 2003, I was with Total Choice Hosting. They were good to me, and I've heard good reports about them lately, but in my opinion, they are a little expensive for what you are getting.

 

I am my own company!

 

And all those threads are going to the bottom in the matter of a day. Those that continue to get bumped are all life time and unlimited accounts. Which makes me believe they are what most people are buying. We've sold about 40 accounts to digital point users. So it makes me wonder just how many unlimited accounts and life time accounts are sold.

 

Yes most of those on dp are like that. You get what you pay for!

And thats what so sad.. That people fall for the unlimited and one time payment trick.. ALOT of people don't even think about how much they are actually going to use, they just like the idea of having Unlimited space and bandwidth while they arnt even going to use 10mb of it..

It's weird, but thats life. And those people will sooner or later realize that unlimited and one time payments don't work out, and will sooner or later turn around and chose the companies that sell what they can sell and not what they dream of selling...

I use VPs becoz due to heavy traffic i dont use shared hosting ..


But hostmonstor and hostgator is best company in mArket

 

I'm using 000webhost.com. It's free, offers 250 MB disk space, 100 GB bandwidth, PHP and MySQL support. Plus, no forced ads.

 

2 Accounts - HostMonster (very good. very tolerant. low cpu usage)
1 Account - HostGator (whitehat only, will shut you down w/ no notice for any percieved violation. Fast and good though)
1 Dedicated Server - For pumping out messageboard posts/other such shadiness. PM for info.
1 VPS - Same host as above for Craigslist
1 VPS - Unknown host, entering action today!
