Only when Google pays webmasters for their valuable websites to be in TOP results when people are searching for them.

    What makes you think so?

This post is RUBBISH - Google can afford to employ the best brains in the world - yet many here think they can game them

It sure can, but many brains successfully game the company from the comfort of their own home 1-3 hours a day. And you know what, there is no way they will go work for those who tell them what to do on a daily basis 8 hours a day.

I don't think such people waste their time posting on different forums and blogs.

Gaming Google is not only about selling/buying links and PR that so many people believe in.

Why do you sound so happy about Google slapping websites of those people, whose part of the main income was generated by selling links?

I will answer this question, as it is the only one that made sense:

Selling links has always been against Google's TOS - so if you have been making a few $$$ in the past count it as money gained (never to be seen again) rather than money lost.

To anyone whose main income was from link sales - GET A JOB

    Thanks :)

By the way, if you join TNX I will be able to credit your account by 20000 free points (since you have over 1000 posts on DP).

20K points is worth over 13$ and you can get over 1K links to your site which will definately improve your positions in Google by whatever keyword you set in your links.

Google's logic is nowhere near undeniable, so play with is while you can + the game is free ;)

I'm quite tired in people bashing link sellers. I don't like low quality sites buying their way to SERPs myself, but that's not just a problem with link selling. It's only one of many ways to advertise online. There are low quality sites advertising through AdWords too (or any advertising network), so screaming "spam" means there's something you've missed. Google has their webmaster guidelines, but the websites are ours, and we are free to do whatever we want with them. It is most certainly not our job to tell Google which links are paid and which are not. If they cannot figure my "sponsors" are paid advertising without me slapping "nofollow" on them, there's something wrong with what they are doing, not with what I'm doing.

I'm sorry for the quite off topic ramble. I use TNX on some of my sites, and like what I can accomplish with it. There are some bugs to iron out (for example, I sometimes see Russian text on the site), but I'm confident they will be dealt with.

Oh, btw. I see these ads of 5000 links and 20,000 links everywhere. I got 2000 credits when I created my account, would I have been eligible for more?

I would just like to add to the above - If people have a problem with paid links and want to start screaming about paid links being "Spam" then you better get your butt over to G and start there.

You know those pretty little ads you all have on your sites that G pays you to have there (AdSense) - they are paid links.

Furthermore it will be a cold day in hell before I let anyone dictate to me what I can and cannot do with my own sites.

Paid linking has been around a very long time and will continue to be. Google has made a pretty good living off of it so why shouldn't you?

    - My 2 Cents

This is not true! You just don't know how to use it right, even though we did our best explaining it to you in the first post of this topic.
