    I accidently clicked one of my ads
    the click was worth $1.24
    Will this get me banned? :(

    go to adsense account, then HELP, its upper right...

    scroll down and it says CONTACT US.. fill out the form and send.

    They wrote in their blog sometime ago these types of mistkes happen from time to time and that there was no need for webmasters to report when there is an accidental click becuase they will discount it.

    I don't know what their policy is now.

    i don't think it was your click. usually when you click on your ads you get 0 money. i've done it by mistake first time i've got my Adsense account. i've got there few clicks and 0 money and nothing happened. i think someone else got that click for ya ;)

    There is no need to report this single accidental click. When it becomes a routine, that is when Google will take an action. I am surprised they gave you money for that click as when it happens to me, I get big zero fro that accidental click.

    To prevent accidental clicks from happening, I now use PHP code to set "admin" cookie and do not show adsense ads when it is set. Here is an example:

    1. visit http://www.myspaceaddict.info - you will see ads
    2. visit http://www.myspaceaddict.info/admn/set-admin-cookie.php and observe the difference :D

    Don't worry about a single click, it happens sometimes. Just don't do this again. And you don't have to report every acidental click.
