These new ads are kiling me, at this early stage

CTR has been cut by 10. I'm usually at $20, by this time of the day, today I'm at $2. Time to look for a replacement to Adsense, they could have at least allowed us to select a separate hover colour for adverts, or at least slightly more CSS control.

They should have tested the new ads remotely, before rolling out the changes to all publishers accounts.

    Adbrite here I come..

This may not be permanent. They are experimenting. Im sure if the voice is large enough, they will go back to how they were before.

Are you sure? If yes, i would be the happiest person. I hit nearly 75% drop in the income. I am breaking my head for past two days to improve my CTR. It is time to try alternatives.

if your CTR has dropped that much due to these changes I wonder how many of those clicks were "accidental" and therefore worthless to the advertisers ?

I'm thinking that after a few weeks if overall earnings are down, either Google will make adjustments, or maybe advertisers will start bidding-up to get more clicks... remember that if WE see less $$, GOOGLE sees less $ .

FWIW, my CTR has been normal the last few days, but overall earnings have been down ..

Same here. My clicks are way up now, but my eCPM is down. I wonder how long it'll take if my earnings will ever go back to $40/day. Now I'm at a good $10 - $20/day.

im seeing some loss in ctr now also...it is too early too tell for sure though... as I doubt many of my clicks were accidental before.. i do agree this is good for advertisers though, so maybe they will increase there bids and everything will level out.

Wow, if your seeing that much drop in ctr, I wonder how hidden/blended your adsense advertisements were in the pages and how many accidental clicks you were getting. That is amazing.

On some of my websites my ads are not blended at all and I'm seeing a significant drop in CTR. I'm also experiencing a huge burst in traffic so I can't really tell if the CTR drop is due to higher traffic levels (maybe less targeted visitors) or this new non-clickable ads. Hmnnn

Be patient. You cannot quit adsense because you are having one poor day.

It's only been three days and people are acting like the sky is falling. We all discussed this saying it might/will negatively impact us, but it will eventually get better. Wait it out/Use alternatives till then. Adbrite's CPC sucks, but try them anyways. I'd suggest a 3 day test with each advertising platform.

    yawn :)

How long have these new ads been implemented for, has it been since the whole AdSense update where you can edit content ads?

Over the last 3 days my CTR has gone up quite a bit, but I have also done a lot of optimization.

I'd like to add: before you give up on AdSense, I suggest messing with your AdSense ad colors.
