info is just as good as anything else. There is little weight difference between the domains.

The value of having .com is that is is instantly recognisable as a website. It is more a marketing thing than anything.

The only negative to a .info or .biz is they look "cheap" to possible customers who are more used to standard ".com" and ".net"

from search engine view point, there is no difference between domain, it all depends on your content and seo you have done for your site.

No difference in the SE's , but as tigermedia_ca, it would look more professional if you had a .com ( in case of a business)

You might also not get that much type in traffic as a .com would.

No I don't think so but you will hate yourself later on for it (I am right now). I wouldn't make a serous site on a .info..
.info's are good for proxies, and mfa sites...sadly that is the road this extension took...

.info is like any other newly taken tld , they are all the same if you work on them.
But don't forget that .com is the most known and typed tld.

actually, its not a country specific domain so it has a particular SEO advantage. its certainly better than, say, .ws or .cn

.info is just not good for branding purposes, pple will often type in "brand".com before anything else, and i would imagine .info at the bottom of the list.
