Many big, rich countries mess with other smaller countries because they can. Rarely has the US entered another country just to be nice. It is and was because there was some sort of interest there (economic, strategic, political, etc).

The issue of the poll was "WORLD peace" but it seems many people read "mideast peace". I don't see most of the groups in the list manipulating local politics around the world (which of course generates violence) on behalf of their own interests.
