Posting on blogs is the fastest for me, usually within 48 hours. Articles also help but take a little longer.

Submit your site to social bookmarking site which is updated often. I have done this idea on my blog and it get indexed in just 24 hours.

This takes several weeks to months. Getting another page to link to yours will get you indexed faster and probably add to your page rank.
