I've got a relatively new domain, which currently has PR0, and i'd much like to boost this up to maybe 1 or 2, can anyone suggest how to do it? I have a limited budget, and i've spend quite a long time getting all the articles on the site right, and there will be more Any suggestions?
Submit to free web directories.Also, get links from social networking without nofollow. I think you should care more about your SERPS instead of pagerank..Once you have good serps you will get good pagerank too

Before I say why, Please remember that this is my personal experience and opinion, there will be 20000000 other "seo experts" that will argue all nite long, So with that said "human nature" is why you don't buy links what I mean by human nature is that most people that "sell a link" usually don't stop at one, In fact at first they sell a few, then a few more and before you know it google is looking at them like a dirty whore...and not passing pr Do it the right way from the start and create a website worth something and you will have no trouble getting free inbounds Hope this helps and remember just my opinion and experience
Well I've got some link backs to my site, and I'm getting some good content in (link in my signature) , so hopefully that'll start the ball rolling, is there any other amazing method of increasing pagerank? I'll submit to a few directories, but unless there's real proof that they work, i'm not gonna go mad ;p
The methods listed already are all you can really do from my experience. Link bait has worked the best for me so far, just make a good site and people will link to it
I agree that getting links from social network without nofollow helps you to get pagerank. my profile at netscape has a pr 4 and my new site got pr 2 after recent pr update.
Install Wordpress to your site as a weblog. Then submit your weblog to hundreds of blog RSS directories. This way is free but time consumsing. Your site should get PR at least 4 within 3 months.
i had a small football blog which went to PR2 in one month only with submissions to web directories.Try submission as much as possible.
Directories are going to bring minimal value, if even that. You want to target strong authoritative sites in your particular niche as much as possible. I'll post more on this topic when I get back home because there's a lot I want to say about this but I just don't have the time at the moment.
