You dont have to pay paypal if you do have Personal Account . While if you have business one or premiere account which is suited for business then you must go with fees . As nothing in this world is free
Personal accounts would not incur any fee to accept payment using paypal fund. However, if you are constantly receiving payment made from credit card, then no choice but to upgrade to premier account.
All payment processors take their cut unfortunately although some more than others it is just the way of the world.
Paypal is not a charity and they need to make money in order to offer you their service. If you believe that you do not benefit from using paypal then find some other solutions. However paypal is amongst the lowest priced payment processor anyways.
LOL - Reply of the year Yes, there is no other way.. You can try "limited featured" Personal account to save paypal fees. Also, calculate fees on www.ppcalc.com to know the loss you will incur
Well, if you try to use the personal account just to save a few bucks, make sure you do it very quietly and do not be found out otherwise you can get into trouble. The Paypal FAQ said that you cannot use the personal account for sales or business activities and you cannot spilt payments by accepting paypal balance to the personal and credit card to the premier/business accounts otherwise you will be charged fees for every single transaction. https://www.paypal.com/helpcenter/m...lutionTopic=20004&solutionId=12797&isSrch=Yes https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=xpt/UserAgreement/ua/USUA-outside#receive-policy
Exactly, as does everyone else Paypal has fees because they have to earn revenue. They're not a non-profit so expect that they have to make money to stay in business. Well said eddy. Joe MerchantSeek - www.merchantseek.com Your Payment Acceptance Source
For those who say that Paypal fees are expensive, have you checked what your own profit margin is for selling your items, is that more than Paypal fees in terms of percentage ? If so, would you deem your product or service as expensive ?
There is no way to avoid them if you're a business person selling products on the internet - only way is to get a personal account but then you can't sell.
all payment processors impose fees. IMO paypal is actually cheaper than most others. i hear google CO has 0% fee?
