It was #1 for "unblock websites" for a long time until I messed around with the SEO and it fell to #4, but it's working its way back up and it's currently at #2. I wouldn't be surprised if any day it got its spot back at #1. At one point the proxy was generating $10-$20/day and $35 in one day from just that single proxy. The huge surge of traffic was from hitting #1 for "unblock websites" and my server couldn't handle it. My host took it down for a week and I lost ALL my traffic. Along with that, he started blocking lots of country IPs. My traffic was starting to work its way back up when the server went down again because it's hosting a few BIG proxies, causing me lose all my traffic once more. I'm done dealing with it. This site has only been advertised in two newsletters and that's it. The traffic is mostly from SEO. Here are stats for a month or two. If you see any weird drops in revenue or traffic, it's because my server took a nose dive. I never bothered putting AdBrite on the browsed pages, but that would be even more $$$. You could also sell links. I'll post details here as well for those who're interested, since I forgot to. Right now it's running PHProxy 0.4 because my server was having resource issues so he made me downgrade. This site rates #2 for "unblock websites" term... I'd say it is getting quite a bit of organic traffic - therefore it's domain is NOT useless as organic visitors are the best clickers Why do you want to host a proxy? So that all the perverts get access to what they want or to make money ? IMHO, let the domain be blocked but as long as it is getting organic traffic, it is worth buying it.
