I want to discuss what is the importance of quantity of content in website having good backlinks.
Actually i have a small website on funny commercials with lots of High PR backlinks but very less content just 50 posts .And still i am getting no traffic.
I have seen that even a week old websites on this keyword can be found somewhere in search for the keyword. But mine is nowhere.

That link exchange set-up could be hurting you. I'd change the "Link Exchange" text to a button and block your /xx/links/ link exchange pages with Robots.txt

Also the word "Funny" has a 13.6% keyword density, and "Commercials" is 12% which is more than double what i recommend.

And on all your video pages you have basically no unique text except the video title and date. Add a paragraph of descriptive text for each video.

It's better to have a quality content than to have a quantity content. Visitors will most likely going back to your site if you provide it with some quality content.

To do this you make a plain text file in your root/home directory and put:

In that format, however because your site is in multiple languages create a line for each language and just put your language abbrevation folders in where i have the /it/ and the /jp/

When you've done it, post back so we can check it because if you use the wrong syntax you can block spiders from your whole site.

Agree, that's why link baiting is taking place. Quality contents let the visitors link the page or the site and come back for more.....:p

Excellent, this will also help consolidate your link equity to pages you want to rank instead of diluting it to a dozen needless pages not to mention keep Gbot out.

Leave it to CHMOD 644, you don't want anyone writing to it and doing a Disallow: /

I have seen gbot is visiting my website very less. It visits only when new content is added. Moreover i have seen it is giving more importance to other language pages. So i think if we stop gbot from indexing other language pages for some time will it be good.
If yes please tell me how can i stop gbot from indexing other language pages for some time....

Yes it will most likely help in your case, because your pages have very little written content the alternate language pages are very similar to the English meaning some level of duplication.

Also link equity is used on these pages as well as crawl budget.

If you want to give it a shot and monitor improvements, remove the /links/ off each line of your Robots.txt so your will have Disallow: /it/ and so on.

As long as it's submitted to Webmaster Tools, but you can specify it like:

    Sitemap: <sitemap_location>

Replace sitemap_location with the full URL of your sitemap.

    dude,

quantity of content is just as important as quality.

a site of 5000 pages will definitely get more traffic than a site of 50 pages, if only through long tail searches.

While optimising for the first page is a different ball game, the mere fact that you'll have tons of content will get you lots of traffic.

Building content, however, can take time. So, it is prudent to follow a two pronged approach: try to pick a few industry specific high traffic keywords and attempt to rank for those. The targetted traffic you will get will be infinitely more valuable than long tail.
