It depends on area (city, area) where you located. Search in your local area that who gives good service and speed at proper rate.

Then give a try to Tata Indicom Plug to Surf (Wireless Net Connection)

They offer good plans. Don't know about how much they charge for unlimited plan.

    Go through this thread http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=485893

    DON.

Tata Indicom Plug to Surf (not Serve :p) do not offer any unlimited plan.. at least here in Kolkata.

You do not need any EDGE service for that, only GPRS will do (Most of the data cards have EDGE enabled).

Plan 1500 is not for Plug to Surf.. You need a Walky to connect.
And, hell yes. Reliance is far much better than TATA.

MO s*cks man.. Use BSNLs' Home UL 900 PLUS. I had to get this plan from this month. By mistake of the BSNL employee, got delayed to next month. This month also I've to maintain in 2.5Gb limit(500 INR rent). I've finished the free data transfer limit they've given and hence I'm using Mobile Office. It's hell.!!

1yr back, Broad Band connection wasn't available here. Then I was considering MO as GOD..!! Now it's like a DOG..

But now a days, I'm not activating MO. But also can get MO service. No one's getting it in our area.. ;D

In that case, I need to rush to their HUB. I asked them a couple of weeks back. Right before diwali.

He can use WiFi service by BSNL. HighSpeed, Wireless.

Esp., I'd to ask in which city he's in. If in Bangalore, he can get WiMAX soon. So need of worrying about net connection for now. If not in Bangalore, above idea's better.

for all over India, use Reliance Data Card. Nothing can beat that. Even cost isn't too much. Worthy..

    Completely agree..
I left Reliance just because of their poor service and customer care. No one there able to provide authentic information.
