I was incorrectly perma banned with my screen name 'symptic'

I use the screen name 'symptic' everywhere I go and I made my account here ages ago with that name. I created a few sites with a partner where we did business with some DP members and I let my partner do some deals in the market area while I was away so we could deliver our services quickly for clients.

After we shut down these sites, I don't think either of us logged on to the account for quite a while.

This past week I've started to get involved with the sites we once had up, and subsequently posting on DP, but I could never remember the password, and only just remember a few days ago, but when I logged in it said I was banned for having multiple account.

I would greatly appreciate if I could get my account back or at least get my name back if possible. I just created this profile to arise this question and will delete it once the matter is solved.

You'll have this account gone as well. You could have asked another DP member to ask this from mods.

Though, Rules are Rules, and you're gonna be banned.

 

No offensive, but creating a new account is the worst thing you could have done. Both accounts will be banned forever, and there is nothing that any single member or moderator can do about it.

That seems a bit unfair. Like he said:

There are no means to contact anyone once you are banned. Innocent mistakes do happen.

 

if they where baned it was for a good reason they should have had someone from DP contact instead of creating another account if you read DP rules you are only allowed 1 account

 

Is sharing your account with someone else allowed?

 

Two people using the same account is fine, although there's the obvious risk that one of them will commit an offence that gets the account banned.

 

Countryboy are you sure. I am sure you can't share accounts. If you can't sell an account, then you can't share.

Pretty sure, yes. It has been discussed before. I think we've had some husband/wife duos wishing to share the same account.
I'm sure someone in the know will come and correct me if I'm wrong.

 

Thanks for clarifing. It doesn't sound like DP at all having that rule, but oh well..

I honestly don't see a need to pester other members (even friends) for something I should be able to resolve myself. If I get banned again so be it. I at least tried in the nicest way possible to solve the problem. I see it as an innocent mistake and I think it would be most unfortunate to lose a member for something so peculiar.

 

no you are not allowed to share an account with anyone. but if you have family at home that also would like to join DP then you can let the mods/admin know and they will make a note of the 2 accounts on the same ip
