Need Help, Want To Setup A Hosting Service, Free Master Reseller For The Best Advice!

Hi guys,

I have had my dedicated server for a while now. It runs on win2k3 sp1 web edition. I want to start my own hosting service on this server. I will allow proxy, warez and adult content hosting.

I want the service to support php/cgi/mysql etc etc just like all the others do.
I would like WHM and Cpanel as management software.

I just need a step by step guide on how to setup, install and configure all the required software and applications to do this.

For the person who gives me the best advice/tutorial, I will give you lifetime free master reseller hosting package on my server for free! You can setup reseller accounts and shared hosting accounts. Make money without investing a dime.

Well you have one big issue cPanel is a linux only at the moment. As for installing it if you have linux most providers do it for you.

If you plan on offering warez hosting I'd make sure your server is not in North America or any other places with copyright laws. Your best bet for that is Hong Kong.

 

Dont worry Its on a nice offshore location.

You must request the datacenter to install you linux(preffer of centos) to have cpanel/whm.
Cpanel *Will* run on windows,at 2008.

If i am not wrong, then the management software Plesk works ok for Windows?

Yes, plesk works for WIndows. It's a little hard to get it working right but yeah it works pretty nice. Although it cannot compete with cPanel. BTW cPanel has a new thing for Windows Lognhorn server (forgot the actual name now).
