I just built a new site. It renders properly in IE6, IE7 and FF from what i can see. But i went to show it to a friend who is running IE7 on Vista and things are out of whack and divs are overlapping? Is this a vista thing, or is her browser setting on her new laptop just messed up. She tells me she has not noticed these kinds of overlaps and stuff on other web sites. Site in question is http://www.axemedia.com here is a screen shot of what she saw on her Vista machine http://www.axemedia.com/images/vista-view.jpg
It looks perfect (no overlapping at FF and IE) here. But i am using XP. I will reveiw it on my laptop where IE7 on VISTA later today but you have to wait for few more hours as rightnow i am in my office (lappy at home). DON.
Could it be her resolution? I know if i make the text bigger in Firefox/IE it will break layouts. She looks like she has a small reso.
Thats what I'm thinking. But even so, shouldn't my CSS layout allow for stretching due to fonts? As CSS is supposed to be about accessibility. Which reminds me, i set heights of the 4 categories, Web Design, Search Marketing, etc. maybe thats the problem. EDIT: Yes it was the heights of those divs that were the culprit. Problem solved
