    ^-- Not the best tip in the world :p

    I would start building backlinks, use the anchor text of the keyword\key phrases you want to rank in Google search for, this is the best way to start.

    First start with On-site SEO before any link building.
    Read lots of SEO Blogs and forums or hire any SEO.

    so true. everyone focuses on the off site promotion like link building, but forget to think about the quality of the content and optimising that.
