ha-ha  key chain! clicked on the larger version, it looked like a real chain you know.

you can really see the DOF drop off on the car. I like the BG, the flow of the white line goes nicely with the car.

like post them (mine) in your thread? I didn't want to hijack your thread :p

Make your own thread and post on flickr... some new pics... have you seen thephotoforum.com???

Price : with bill (Case, 2 GB card, battries, fast charger included) Rs.21000 and without bill Rs.17000 (Come alone just cam) in $ rates not confirmed. :) Normally 1$=Rs.40 . In US the cost of cam is around $400-450 I think.

I found this small creepy beauty in my garden while doing some macros of the leafs. This is Very small grasshopper hardly a centimeter long. Very scared and wanted to get away from me. I spent around 20 minutes with this little bug and then left him eating the leaf

PS: Don't it look like he is asking "why the hell you are disturbing me huh?" lolz

Another pose by that grasshopper while running away fom me. I think it was scared by the BIG lens which I was moving according to his moments.

At this point it was geting readu to jump from one leaf to another. Wanted to click the snap while it was jumping but failed

    love these 2!
I think the one thing I really lack is a good macro ring flash. It's hard to use natural light exclusively outside especially when it's windy!

anurag_online - I love the tiger photo :) very cute.

Hey Tim, have you seen these DIY 'always on' macro LED rings? They're not the sexiest looking things, but for the cost of a few LEDs I think I'll give it a shot.

I'm going to build one this week.

It's a DIY light rig for taking macro shots - I can never get enough light when I'm out in the garden chasing bugs. It's just a handful of LEDs, some wire, some batteries and a round bit of plastic - much cheaper than buying the real thing. I'm going to try making one this week, it wont' be perfect, but the parts should only cost about $5.

what kerosene said, it's a "cost effective" way of building your own macro ring light.

They sell macro ring flash that fit around the barrel of your lens for close-up shots, since on camera flash and external flash units are not very good at all for macro shots.
