    Crawl rate varies depending on the site. If you have a site where content changes more frequently your site will get crawled more often. Yahoo keeps a history of things like that to determine how often the bot should crawl.

    Awstats produces visual statistics about visitors of your site. It gives detailed analysis of your visitors and what bots have crawled your site and also where your traffic is coming from. If you have cPanel hosting, you should have AwStats.

    Sort of, it's based on your server, you don't have to add code to your page as with google analytics.

    It usually, but not always, comes as a free feature when you rent server space.

    For monitoring a website I would use Google Anayltics and Awstats
