I was once. I was working at a YMCA and was backing up a van and into a pizza delivery driver's car. I also apparently picked up a 6 year old child wrongly when trying to seperate an argument. It was humiliating and not warranted, in my opinion, but it lead to a wonderful solo road trip across country as I tried to find myself. Still looking.
I worked as a hotel desk clerk (night shift) about 20 years ago. One night a drunk and naked woman was out running around screaming and yelling and knocking on doors. It was in January and there was about 6 inches of snow on the ground. I went out to the parking lot and tried to talk to her but she was hysterical. I finally had to grab her and carry her into the office. I got her a blanket to wrap up in and after some time I was able to get her to tell me who she was here with. Evidently she had gotten into an argument with her boyfriend and he had opened the door and pushed her out. She got lost and couldnt find her room. The whole thing was crazy. The next morning a lot of guests complained and I was fired because of it!
Never been employeed and never been fired (16 only, lmao) But sounds funny man...I mean, who's heard of anyone ever being fired because they made a mistake reversing a van...?
Yes and no. I basically told them to shove it and that I quit and they answered that I was fired. Since I quit first, I think I quit but they reflected my employee record to state that I was fired. It did not matter much because I changed careers and moved on since then.
I have never been fired, I have often been asked if I think I should want to leave. I have a habit of 'speaking as I find!' I have now for the past 18 years been 'self empolyed' working in my family business. I went for 2 weeks when my father had to have a minor op and have not left. I joke that he's the onllt person to never have fired me
No. I used to work at a grocery store at the customer service desk. My boss was being really rude and I had had enough, so I sort of yelled at him and said I quit. He then told me I was fired. I said "You can't fire me I just quit!" So I'm not sure if that counts or not.
Yes I was fired before, but they told me just to discretely resign. It sucked at first but I got a better job in return so getting fired was one of the better things that happened to me
my guess would be the management would cave and give him anything he wants to get him back into work...
I would have fired you and I hope the customer called the police on you for assault! Let me guess, you couldn't handle the stress.... ..... did you make the news?
