I didn't see a help sub-forum anywhere so I didn't know where to put this, but.... My paypal account had $10.41 on it, but yesterday it was transferred to someone I didn't even get on my paypal yesterday. I don't know, I have never gaven my password out or anything, and it's not the same as my name. Should I file something or what?
No, i was not on my computer at the time, and i would remember paying such an odd amount. I did check the history, it says it sent to some email that i never put in.
Count yourself lucky it was only 10 bucks - could have been much worse. Check out their Security Center pages for more info.
PayPal support is the best place to go to figure this out. They might even be able to reverse the transaction if you can provide proof that it wasn't you...
This is how.. https://www.paypal.com/row/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_comres_flow&trans_id=Transaction ID and Learn More Link https://www.paypal.com/row/cgi-bin/...customerservice/EducationUnauthorizedActivity In both the cases, he needs to be logged in.
thanks for that, just sorta confused me...paypal calls that a 'Claim'...when I hear the work chargeback I think credit card
Oh no. You can reclaim your money. Just explain that it was a mistake and all nicely. More polite you are better the response will be. And yeah, like CountryBoy posted - be happy its just 10$. Hope it works out!
Ring them up. I had £150 moved out of my account a few months back and immediatly rang them. They sorted it out within a week. Just explain everything that you know about the incident and you should get it back.
