I have notice that when new pages are added to a established site, it often takes a week or two for it to begin to rank for more keywords. Does Google put a short age filter on new pages?
Well it really takes time for a new page to rank well but if you put some backlinks on it, the 'waiting time' will be reduced
I was having something similar on my site so I installed the following free software and found out my site was only getting crawled once a week. www.cj-design.com/products/free_downloads/php_scripts/cjgooglebotactivity Maybe worth looking into if you havent already explored this. Other than that I would say plenty of internal links on your pages.
I guess the longest period that Google needs to index a new page on my blog is just less than two days.
Thanks for your response guys. I might have to restructure some of my internal linking to pass around pr/trust juice through site. The funny thing is I see today is a page I created 2 days ago is now ranking while a different new page I created took a week to rank...
it depends on the competition.but i noticed that my articles take a day to rank.for some of them.other rank as soon as they get indexed
Yes, i am agree with Hersheys. if you have some back links from social bookmarking sites as well back link from hubpage or blog-post it will take very less time.
Of Course it takes time for google to notice your website ... This is if your DOING IT WRONG! It takes me less than a couple of hours for Google to recognize my site, and get it indexed within less than 24 hours using blackhat techniques Check out the blackhatguide membership for more information on that.
