directory with a googemap plugin

Do you know any directory that has googlemap capabilities, like a plugin or a bot?

 

directory script or a directory of actuall businesses?

I've done one google map for phpld at www.southbayyellow.com, and no its not a google map mod from linkforever.

 

we had done this from the begining of www.naxos-directory.com but it is a local directory.See link look in map at homepage.

 

Its easy to do what do you want it for ?

 

Yeah I created differently working map for few clients.
Eg, map on each detail page by address or by post code with easy pre-verification in admin.
Once I even created map for each category page with locations no. for each listing from category page...

Many things is possible with G map.

It lets to set initial settings in Admin and check/edit loaction on gmap for each listing while editing in Admin.

thanks for your answers. What I want is create a directory of computer repair shops and insert a google map so the visitor can locate the shop easily and figure out how far he is from it .

I wanted to use freeglobes because it has a details page for each entry where I could insert a map

thats a pretty good idea, but didn't that make categories load slow?

 

What permission you need? Blessing?
Google has simple rules for that:

There is a limit of 50,000 geocode requests per day per Maps API key.

permit was not the right word . I meant includes. If any directory can include a google map generated on a postcode for example, I ll use it instead of freeglobes

Not my resource - but map code is mine (not only)
I did also support for address if post-code not found or owner decides address is more accurate.
Not all post codes are supported.
Also initial settings can be changed, like map type, initial zoom, map style (large, small).

sorry to drag this thread, i have signed up for g maps, all i am reading is everything but how to simply type in an area put a marker on the map and get the code.

If anyone can help in basic 123 format that would be good, i have packed it in

 

Re the above, the answer is in a section called wizards where there is a plug n play map maker to create the code, so all is good.

But a question, and i feel dumb asking this, the section copied above re the the 50K limit or ban, can some one put that in english in exactly what this is refering to, i am sure its simple and i will look stupid but must ask.
