That's not proof - that's like me saying : "There once was this BIG ad' company called Google, they started an ad' network and now own the internet" which is more relative to this topic.

Because your visitors weren't sticking around long enough (on pages) for the Widget to load completely - hence they weren't counted.

Not really, Google Adsense Advertisers spend more than that, besides that the (WB) CPC drops most the time anyway.

Um I don't think that they're selling the products, most likely they're getting the companies to pay a flat fee per click or conversion.

YES ! ?? I have earnt something and ..... I'm not banned (Yet).

Did you even read the first post ? There's several large companies involved.

    Hi!
WidgetBucks differs from Google AdSense in that it offers up “widgets” for products like: electronics, books, health and beauty, etc. It does not crawl your content, but it is customizable and they even recently fixed some slowness issues - so it looks like they're heading in the right direction.

Widget Bucks crawls your pages if you choose MerchSense to find relevant categories for your content. Unfortunately it does very lousy job and you'll usually have better results if you choose categories manually.

I say just make sure your site is relevant. I dont think it would be good for a myspace type site, but for a shopping site, a product review site, something like those I dont think youd be banned. I think they just wanna weed out the non producing clicks..

Thank you for making this thread. I agree with you and think they will pay but concerned about the auditing of the numbers still. I noticed the referrals worked but I did not get near as much as I had hoped.

I'm sure they will pay to those with sites that have some conversions. They need leads and if your site does not produce leads, then you might want to look elsewhere.

I personally think they should add that somewhere on the site.

Now, how will you know if your site will produce leads.....I don't really know.

Top reason why I now believe it's at best a poorly run company with no future.

competition is a good thing, the more companies that are out there and successful the better.... we don't want google to be the only game in town

hopefully widget bucks can get over the initial startup pains and iron things out

well isn't that the pot calling the kettle black..

you have no proof yourself, you're taking their word for it - and they are the ones in question. it's like if someone is convicted of murder, and their entire argument is "trust me, i didn't!"

(note) i am not biased for them being a scam for the sake of my small blog, i'd probably get more money for it if they continued business :p

Who has actually gotten paid by them? I'll believe they aren't a scam when people start saying they got paid , plain and simple.

Payment would be issued after December 15, 2007 so that may not be the point.

The bad things that WidgetBucks do with their publisher is, added their own TOS and some critical like "No allowance to place ads in non-english site" later and no notification sent to any publishers. That's ridiculous because how the hell all publishers would know if they haven't got any message from WidgetBucks officially. They threaten badly to publishers, they added their rules later and then slapped all publishers down by banned wihout any warning. Is it their fault? I don't think so. Here is their steps.

    1. Announce much higher rate compared to current PPC like Adsense, Bidvertiser to convince others PPC publisher to switch or use them as partly in their site, in their monetize way.
    2. Give $25 sign-up bonus plus flexible rules, accept almost anybody and anything. To convince more people to sign-up by word of mouth marketing.
    3. Gain traffics, some sells for their advertisers.
    4. Then add new rules for their own benefits purpose, without any notification to publishers via email nor blog nor message board or something.
    5. And yes, slapped all publishers by banned them without any warning. They got traffics, got sales and tried not to pay publishers whom generated them traffics by banned them based on their rules (which is created later)

At first time I saw them use blogger as their company blog, I thought "Cannot believe this!!"

They may not scam at last, if payment issued but they are not professional either due to their lack of mind threaten to their publishers.

I signed up, placed ads for 2 weeks and have to removed since I got many clicks but their stats said "No Clicks" with much less impressions than I currently got from Adsense.
