I just got email from Widgetbucks saying my account is suspended due to being non-English site. It's true that my site is not English but a lot of my-coutry-who-live-in-America visit my site. It's no big deal but what I don't like is they waited almost 2 weeks to let me know the account is suspended, and that advertised space could have been used for something else. A side note, I've been with adsense for 3 years with no problem. Any hope to ask them to get the account back? Anyone has been succeed to get account back. Frankly I've made around $10/day with them so extra income is a good thing, but no big deal though any suggestion would be appreciated.
I think their TOS are pretty clear that non-English sites are not accepted. AdSense is clear that they do accept non-English sites and sever non-English ads. As for waiting 2 weeks to disapprove your account, that's unfortunate. But I think it is too much to expect them to review every site at the time of signup.
never mind, it seems that a bunch of people here in DP got suspended and their site is totally legit. A friend of mine got suspended too. So looks like I'm isn't the only one, today is the cleaning day for WidgetBucks, thanks God I only lose $100 instead of $1400 on the other threads.
Its not just the TOS. They are basically suspending all accounts that are not converting to their liking, whether they are legit or not.
Can you please share a few of these legit sites? I haven't seen one yet. I find it odd that people will post about getting terminated without any reason but not post a link to their websites that were running widgetbucks. Anyone else find this odd?
I do. Who should we believe ? A company with several millions dollars backing it... or some unknown hiding behind their forum nick ? It sure would be nice for some clarifications from the WB. They have addressed everything else until now. Where are you WB ?
The Terms and Conditions about the Non-English sites was changed on the 25th October. Before that, there was no mention about not using the widgets on non-english sites. So anyone who signed up before the 25th and read the T&S would have had nothing to worry about !! I think they should have informed everyone of this change in their T&C before banning and suspending accounts that used widgets on non-english sites.
That went against their TOS, so can't blame them - not even for 2 weeks. Be happy that you got banned in the second week itself. There are webmasters who got banned after earning 1400+ USD for reasons not understood to any of us over here.
There was Selvia(in the other thread) who got banned because they said his site was not written in English and after he complained that his site was written in english, they realized that they couldn't ban him for that so they made up the reason that he is using an auto-redirecting script(which I doubt he was) and banned him for that. That sounds like them just trying to find random excuses to me. There was another member(forgot who) on here who ran an a blog written in English and got banned for "no content on page". When I went to his page, there was certainly content on it related to the widgets he was displaying. The widgets probably were getting a high CTR because they were integrated into the article but probably not converting well. That sounds like them just not wanting to pay people who got valid clicks but the click aren't converting as well. My own site http://www.flashninjaclan.com got banned for being a "Pornographic site". Now they have about the same terms as several other companies(valueclick,casalemedia) in regards to this and the other companies have never even given me a peep about this and have always payed me my due. There are also several other cases of this. I also noticed that all arcade sites have dropped widget bucks lately, most likely for similar reasons. All of these sites have had no trouble with TOS from well-known affiliate networks. On a side note: Been nearly a week since I got suspended and I can still log into my account and my earnings show up under MyBucks. Maybe they forgot and will pay me after all. I noticed they suspended a large % of my referrals though.

Don't believe me? Send them an email and ask if those games are OK. If you got banned because of those "pornographic games", then that's your fault. You should have removed them. I still haven't seen a legit site yet.. and my blog posts on a few of those widgetbucks sucks blogs were deleted.
Adsense doesn't care and valueclick doesn't either as that is a very popular web game features across all arcade sites and there are a lot of arcade sites that feature that game. Neither Adsense, valueclick, or casale(or any other network that I have worked with) has been nit-picky enough to call me or any other arcade site out on that so the fact the WB does just points to me that they are trying to suspend as many sites as possible. The large networks won't suspend you for 1 game out of 2000 that may have some adult themes. The fact that all other have that game on that site and they all use those networks has probably made them overlook it. I've sent e-mails to the and they've never replied and just continued to pay me. I'm using other networks now as Ive noticed that all major arcades have dropped WB regardless of whether they have dating sims or not. Like I said, WB said they suspended me about a week ago but haven't actually de-activated my account, maybe they changed their mind. If they pay me what they owe me, then I'll give them another chance. If they continue to try and nit-pick for every little reason to suspend user's account, then I'll continue to refer to them as a scam. Plus WB said they would respond to my e-mail within 24 hours, and its been nearly a week without a reply -- thats a lie right there.
