I'm so angry right now, my site is on diggs front page and my server is down and the support is sucking and slow. It even killed the duggmirror as well. I'm trying to get a dedicated server but they said it would take up to 8 hours... plus they're slow at responding, even over the phone. Does anyone have any ideas of what I can do?
I'm talking about an immediate solution to get the site back up. I can't even get my files right now.
The increase of traffic. I'm even trying to get a dedicated server at the moment but they're still taking forever. I'll be leaving hostgator soon now. Eat up the competition my ass! Now hostgator is telling me that my account is suspended forever unless I get a dedicated server. Don't get on the front page of digg if you have a hostgator account.
You probably violated their terms of service with that burst of traffic. What hosting plan did you have?
Well someone there finally got in touch with me and... I guess explained to others what was causing the server to crash. I'm getting a dedi from them and they put my shared account back online for a minute or less and it crashed the server again so now I'm just waiting for my dedi to activate. I'm not on the front page anymore but I've learned a great lesson.
