It would if not for some metas who seem to believe that without their holy crusade against any kind of corruption, favoritism and anything else they can think off entire internet if not the World would be destroyed.

We have a motion to make Dmoz friendlier toward corruption and favoritism. All in favor say "Aye", all opposed... "nay".

Unless you missed history lesson holy crusades did nothing useful, failed miserably in their goals and were completely misdirected, end result was that weakened Byzantium finally fell to the Ottomans who conquered big parts of SE Europe.

Similarly meta holy crusade against corruption does nothing but removes editors based on zero real evidence and whole thing looks more like witch-hunts then real investigations. When they remove both of you and robjones you will know what I meant.

Well, that'd be true if they removed ME... but just between us, I'm pretty sure Crowbar really IS a witch. ;)

I swear Ivan, considering we're just a net directory and it's a volunteer gig to start with, you can sure get worked up into a lather. Witches & crusades. LOL. Hate to tell you, but when they let me run the place we're implementing the death penalty for serial spammers [No, not the sites... the submitters].:D

No wonder Q hangs around so much. ;)

No it isn't, we already had this discussion and editor fathom confirmed DMOZ is privately owned company run by metas, so whole thing is a hoax to get free workforce.

If it were true volunteer gig I doubt metas would treat other editors as potential scum who wants to destroy their precious directory.

And in true DMOZ spirit serial spammers will be declared anyone who submits more then two websites even when he/she doesn't own either one of them. :p

Just to be even on the more safer side, bunny says sorry to editors :) and maybe a big sorry to Motsa i have no right to judge character and people based on others opinions of the same, no more evil motsa crap out of me. I know she must at times feel really offended. But everyone deserves love. Bunny is all about love from now on. And no this is not my sickness speaking there is no end to dmoz discussions and how its handled maybe its not fair to everyone but thats life, as life is not fair to everyone either its just another part in life.

Lets hope soon other haters of dmoz realize that nothing will come out of hating dmoz, but its better to make friends than enemies and hatred is the route cause of all evils and ofcourse witches :D

Naa ivan i think i am giving up, my efforts changed nothing, and why should the webmaster community in general suffer cause of 1 ? Cause i do not now why dmoz stopped providing status checks, maybe this way i can bring back editors providing status check, its not like those webmasters ever come back on the forum and be part of community and help the forums grow, so i gain nothing, so when i am gaining nothing why should someone else make losses its just selfish of me.

I cannot be that way, i know dmoz is not doing things right, even editors at dmoz know it, but nothing can be done about it, and i know for a fact that u probably never took and bribe so why they removed u i have no idea, why they removed annie i have no idea, its just how it is, most editors have got over it and discussing same thing over and over on public forums help no one.

Plus since i found out that crowbar is a witch from robojones, i am so freaking afraid too...

Keep trying, don't give up yet... Your forum has not been up all that long, and forums take time. As it's a niche within a niche it may even take longer.

As for it helping no one, you'd be surprised how much it could be helping. Yeah, yeah, there are the two sides that constantly bicker and fuss, but look at those that just pop in for a moment, that are clueless. They need both sides... so keep it up.

I can protect you, lol. I'm the proud owner of Witchy Websites ;)

Oh so u got anti-witch powers ? Koooolll.. bring it on crowbar :D:p..

But i think there are enough posts out on the forums now, that new popers on forum, know both sides of stories, but i think my personal bashing of dmoz does more damage than good. But others can still try to bring a change at dmoz and keep a balance between the good and the evil aspect.

May the force be with u - Yoda :p

Darn its not fun to play Don Quijote de la Mancha by myself.

You at lest know why they removed you, I'm going crazy to see the official reason and so-called evidence... only way for Croat to stop being obsessed with something is either to shoot him or wait until he dies. :D

Nah, they ain't so though, sorcerers and wizards are whole different matter. :D

Hmm... u can always do there here at dp where more editors join in. But isn't Q on also playing the game with u ? Its just 1 player down :D

Lets see , did u look at ur mansion, villa, that u admitted to have bought via dmoz black money :D. Plus he ivan look on the bright side, we did not loose anything dmoz lost editors and possible future content, i know my category i worked with got no new listing while there are still 100 or more listings possible. So whose loss is it? Ur's mine or in general dmoz is at loss?

Oh i should probably watch Lord of Rings, i never watched that movie yet..

For a change, the movies follow the books very closely, and are a very good rendition of them. I've read the books 5 times, :). Too bad Tolkein died before he could write any more of them. I still prefer the books.
