Which online business is on fire these days?

It is, but some people take "long term" and think of one, individual, sustainable, website or business plan. Where I was advocating a collection of tiny, more or less unsustainable sites capable of producing a residual income.

 

Social networks are there for past 3 years!! But I told about NICHE Social networks... Also I'm not askin you tell me the biz to do.. but I'm askin what will be the next gen biz in your view...

 

Go where the people are. Do a keyword search on Google's Keyword Tool. Check out their trends. Use eBay's Pulse. There's lots of ways to find hot niches BUT too much competition is a waste of time.

 

Social networks have been around for longer than 3 years guys - I've owned a niche SN model/talent/single community since 2002... http://www.websocials.com - it's a jungle of an industry, though i feel that mixing elements of social sites will always be a plus in any new gen startups.

Thanks guys, it's been a hell of a ride - we were getting huge, and had amazing pr, traffic, a tv show, radio show, print campaigns, nightclub tours, you name it!! However when myspace/youtube/FB came along they swallowed the industry and took us with it... We've almost gone public with it a few times, and are open to taking on able hands that could perhaps make some moves with it. The site is literally 99% automated and the team is all doing their own things so it's literally just sitting there, making some ad rev. etc. however we'd like someone to come and monetize it...

 

Pornography and gambling sites are what get big bucks in my opinion.

Lest we forget mortgage and loans.
And can we add porno to the list again? There is no other market on the planet where the user is almost guaranteed to be somewhat "inebriated" by something(in this case, hornyness)

 

I have some useful advice, go with a PROVEN SYSTEM. That way you'd be hard pushed to fail.

By a SYSTEM, I mean an easy automated SYSTEM that eliminates the 'Human Factor' that is nearly always the main cause of failure. Also, try and go for something that you'd enjoy and are passionate about as it will be easier. But then again, most people would 'become' passionate once they are making money.
