Does Wordpress do well once a site hits a good 10,000 pages, and possibly 1,000+ embedded videos with possibly 1,000+ uniques per day?
I run WordPress on a dedicated server and it's handling ~60K page views and 25K uniques per day, it is starting to slow a bit though. With embedded video that shouldn't make too much difference, if it's hosted on your server it will obviously require a fair amount of bandwidth.
Thanks for that info. Everything always winds up coming back to Wordpress being the best CMS option. Also - wow, 25k uniques!
Well, if you upgrade your dedicated server it should be a lot faster. If it slows down (speed wise) then its time to upgrade your server.
I have spoken to my host about that and they don't think it's so much a hardware issue. I'm unable to run wp-cache as it messes up my theme (no idea why) and I have some custom plugins which are a bit resource hungry on every page load, so I'm looking into a solution for that.
