Don't worry about keyword density a.k.a keyword stuffing. Just create your content normally and in human format, not search engine format.

Don't overthink keyword density. Just try to use the keyword once or twice per paragraph and try to keep the copy flowing naturally.

My experience has shown that you can say any given phrase A LOT. And I mean A LOT. Anything short of copying and pasting it over and over again.

My rule of thumb is if the sentence is coherrent, it's not too stuffed.

Like mentioned by the other posters if you write for your users then you are naturally going to get a keyword density of around 3-7%.

I have found different niche's have slightly different tolerences when it comes to keyword density. My advice, scan the top 10 in your niche, add the values together and divide by 10.

This will give you the average KD of the top 10 websites, shoot for that and you can't go wrong.

It is still important in Google. Keyword density can vary when analyzing a page for various search engines.
    Try the this site http://www.keyworddensity.com/

I don't think that Google care about keyword density anymore. Only 3-4% can hurt your ranking.

Many webpage with 1 keyword ranks in 1st page.

Try and keep it as natural as possible. Put in your keywords here and there, but do not overdo it. And by looking at the page, you will know whether you have overdone it or not.

Yes, keep it in natural or human-readable keywords not search-engine-readable. Using keyword stuffing will lead to get penalized or to get banned.

...only if it's really really blatant. Be smart about it. A little bit of obvious keyword stuffing normally doesn't matter.
If you really need to, build yourself a fake "tag cloud". Push out a few rss feeds searching for your term. It's all believable content, they you yourself are debatably liable for. Hence, no penalizations.

I would go for 3-5% on maximum side. Minimum is just readability wrt content. Maximum is penalty by google.

As of know I'm not focusing on keyword density. As long as the content is good and interesting and contains my keywords I ok with that. All I have to do is promote my site and get links using my targeted keywords and for sure my keywords will come up in google.
