I may soon be in control of the domain "TheGoogle.com". I not only want an appraisal for this name, but I want to know if somebody would actually be willing to pay for it, and how much. If somebody is willing to pay a good amount, then I can get it for you.
hmm, its kind of a high risk domain since google is a trademark name and it's may violate their trademark and in no time you will be ask to shut it down
If you find a n00b that you can sell it too you'll still make a few bucks... I got really excited when I saw Adsense.bz was available, but then someone warned me that it was trademarked...
In theory, its a good name, and could be built off the popularity of Google. I dont think owning the name is an issue, its what you do with it. Try contacting Google, and see if you can work something out
Contacting google would be a complete waste of time. Google could take the domain anytime it wanted, if it wanted it. You can't use a TM in a domain to ride the goodwill established by someone else. It's infringement, and when you are dealing with a registered mark, you are not only subject to losing any income the site every generated, plus damages, but treble their legal fees.
I think a def trade mark problem, Maybe turn into a forum with lots of information on how to use google, Adsense etc,
Register a trademark ThegOOgle .. and you can keep the domain, hell how can someone tell how you actually spell?
