I the best chance for peace was yitzak rabin, the last real pro pece guy in the middle east. Do you really think arafat cared for his people??? Everyone knows hw he was killed and please dont tell me that one lone nut had a clear shot at him as his protection around him was laxed to the point that any common blo could have gotten to him. the extremists in the isreali government didnt want this peace aggreement because they felt he was giving up too much land.

The plo tried to take over lebanon, and even though they wernt citizens, they stared setting up checkpoints in lebanon against the lebanese government and were checking peoples religions on their id cards.

Lets not forget the city of damour in lebanon in 1976 where the plo pummelled a defenseless village of lebanese christians who only had rifles against heavy artillery. The orthodox priest caled arafats office and the plo spokeman toldhim that their village had othing to worry about. Next thing you know the took over the village and massacred everyone that was still in it. They also carved crosses on the male genitalia, killed women, children and old people. they also tied to take over jordan but the king took care of that situation.

Both sides need the doves to take oer and get to the peace table Abbas is a modeate who wants peace and the way to get it done would be for the isreali labor party to take over and form a treaty with abbas. We need religious extremists on both sides to step down.
